As the 2023 football season comes to an end we have seen the Jim Thorpe Olympian Football players work together in each game. Some games were tougher than others but each game showed the passion each of the players have for the sport. With that being said the hard work and dedication helped them get into the big rivalry game against Lehighton over the 209 trophy. Jim Thorpe had the last win for the trophy back in 2021 which then made them determined to bring the trophy back home this year. As the game was full of adrenaline and cheer, the football team secured the 209 trophy and regained it with new meaning. As we watched them fight for it, we can all say collectively that this was the best way to end the season. As a school we hope to see the school strive for success just as much next year and keep the trophy home.
